Global Warming Poem, by Chris Murphy

This morning in church, Chris Murphy (grade 8) recited the following poem, that he had written.

Global warming

A famous word that means the end of a story

People hide behind disbelief

But they will only realize when we’re on our last leaf

Even a blind man can see it happening

But a normal man can’t see it stopping

Without joining

Or fighting

Soon this world will be darker then darkness

People choose money over nature

Without realizing that money is paper

Which is wood

Which is nature

In this world, we have a situation

But money still remains the conversation

Ruled by dictation

We have no other choice

But to raise our voice

I hope this message gets to YOU

Before it’s to late

It’s not a big debate

Just open your eyes, and you will see

That there is more to this world than money!
